Today, As I was updating Twitter and Facebook I saw that Jim Rohn had passed on the 5Th of December 2009, this brought some thoughts to mind and I wanted to share with everyone…

Jim Rohn is a leader and an individual that truly set the standard in more ways than he has been recognized for. With a background and an upbringing from a hardworking farm family in Idaho Jim took the core values and beliefs to a level many of us search for but never achieve!

Jim showed us that you can manifest success and happiness in our lives no mater what our background! This brings hope and comfort to me in so many ways. I made this short video in tribute to a great leader that we can all learn from.

I am a better man for learning from Jim Rohn and am grateful for the opportunity I have to continue the life long process of learning from true leaders!

I have also been reminded once again just how fragile and unpredictable life is, it is of the utmost importance to appreciate what we have TODAY.

Character will carry you through life either gracefully or with a struggle, this is a choice and we all have the opportunity to make the right choice every day…

Leave your comments and thoughts, I look forward to reading them!

I have not posted anything in a few weeks as life seems to constantly dish out one obstacle after the next. I look at it like this the challenges we face from day to day make us who we are, each fork in the road is a time to choose to either make the decision to better your self or to take the easy way out.

generally the easy way is all to enticing, this leads to poor habits and all kinds of degenerative actions. I believe in being an effective individual and in helping others do the same.

With all this being said, after having some time to contemplate and evaluate my direction I am taking in life, it all hit me like a ton of bricks today when I was running some errands around town today! I saw this man maybe homeless I do not know for sure, but he was sitting so peacefully along side a parking lot staring at the trees across the road.

At first my reaction was to martyr him! But as i sat and waited for traffic to clear I felt as though his facial expressions read like a book to me. by appearance he looked dirty and lazy, but who am i to say. I looked deeper into the weathered man and thought to myself what is really important in life?

I have put some thought into this, like i have not before… but something hit me and it is this, happiness does not have a price tag! you cannot represent happiness with any material object. True happiness comes from with in and outward appearance has nothing to do with it!!!

So what does this have to do with everything? Well this is what motivated me to write about this today. When we do the thing we do it all comes from motivation and the things that motivate us. If you are doing things for the wrong reason you may never find true contentment or happiness.

For all we know that “bum” on the street just may hold the key to true happiness. Not saying to drop everything and live under the nearest bridge but what I am saying is to stop trying to be who you are not and come from a place of honesty, integrity, and TRUTH…

Check your motives from time to time as it is so easy to become sidetracked. Everyone does have a story to tell! What is yours?
